Awakening

"When love awakens in your life, in the night of your heart, it is like the dawn breaking within you. Where before there was anonymity, now there is intimacy; where before there was fear, now there is courage; where before in your life there was awkwardness, now there is a rhythm of grace and gracefulness; where before you used to be jagged, now you are elegant and in rhythm with your self. When love awakens in your life, it is like a rebirth, a new beginning."

"Love allows understanding to dawn, and understanding is precious. Where you are understood, you are at home. Understanding nourishes belonging. When you really feel understood, you feel free to release yourself into the trust and shelter of the other person's soul."

"One of the tasks of true friendship is to listen compassionately and creatively to the hidden silences. Often secrets are not revealed in words, they lie concealed in the silence between the words or in the depth of what is unsayable between two people."

"The heart is the inner face of your life. The human journey strives to make this inner face beautiful. It is here that love gathers within you. Love is absolutely vital for a human life. For love alone can awaken what is divine within you. In love, you grow and come home to your self. When you learn to love and let yourself be loved, you come home to the hearth of your own spirit. You are warm and sheltered."

"All the possibilities of your human destiny are asleep in your soul. You are here to realize and honor these possibilities. When love comes in to your life, unrecognized dimensions of your destiny awaken and blossom and grow. Possibility is the secret heart of time."

"The ego is the false self-born out of fear and defensiveness."

"Behind your image, below your words, above your thoughts, the silence of another world waits."

"The eternal world and the mortal world are not parallel, rather they are fused."

"The Celtic mind was not burdened by dualism. It did not separate what belongs together"

"One of the most beautiful gifts in the world is the gift of encouragement. When someone encourages you, that person helps you over a threshold you might otherwise never have crossed on your own."

Time

"Most people think time is like a river that flows swift and sure in one direction. I can tell you they are wrong. Time is an ocean in a storm." - Prince of Persia: Sands of Time

How time has passed by. We never stop to realize it. Until something happens which changes the graph of your pace of life downwards and it seems like your in a whirlpool of your own stream of life and everything is at a standstill or in slow motion around you.

Its like you went back into time and see yourself and everybody who were with you at a certain point of time back to how you and they were before. Thoughts go at the speed of light in your head, some things you wish were different, some things you feel you would still like to have and some things you feel like forgetting. Something as trivial as the way you used to dress feels stupid to you. People you used to love seeing you as you were. Our mind objects that we could have done something different to take their attention or that things shouldn't have gone the way they are now.

But in the end, it doesn't matter. You were what you were, you are what you are. What you had done or been back then is the reason you are here now as you are.

Its said correctly that time doesn't wait for anybody. It just passes by. Its the nature of time, it's essence. And we are foolish if we think otherwise. And we have all been foolish at one or the other time. Its Human. Like the way I'm feeling now.

Sentiments, feelings, wishes, yearnings, all different words of the same nature.

Fires

Fires run through my body --
the pain of loving you.
Pain runs through my body with the fires of my love for you.
Sickness wanders my body with my love for you.
Pain like a boil about to burst with my love for you.
Consumed by fire with my love for you.
I remember what you said to me.
I am thinking of your love for me.
I am torn by your love for me.
Pain and more pain.
Where are you going with my love?
I'm told you will go from here.
I am told you will leave me here.
My body is numb with grief.
Remember what I've said, my love.
Goodbye, my love, goodbye.

-anonymous Kwakiutl Indian poem

Heard this in a video suggested by a friend in which Helen Fisher talks about her scientific ideas on love based on brain reactions. - Harshad

What About..?

What about the person you Love?
What about the person who loves you?
Can they be same? Is a question stuck in whirlpool?

What about word compromise?
And what about word sacrifice?
Do they have same meaning? It’s always hard to decide.

What about what we do for others?
And What about what we get from them?
Well this see-saw balance is never neutral in Life game.

What about you ?
And What about me ?
The only common thing is we both can read .

When is the End...

When is the end for times I Spend…
Evenings in pain and mornings so vain..

When is the end for sitting alone in nights
Listening songs and crying inside ..

When is the end ,I ask myself now
Changing my nature and trying to fight it somehow..

When is the end , where I try to express myself
Have a conversation and then not think that all are deaf..

When is the end , where iam living at this pace
Running alone and all alone in this race..

When is the end, to be like this and
How can I change to be merry again..
Iam trying to get answers..and having no luck..
And still with all this I know ..I cant give up..

Baawara Mann (The Bewitched Mind)

The bewitched mind is on its way to dream
The bewitched mind has bewitched thoughts

It beats crazily and takes crazy breaths
Why does sleep run away from the crazy twisting and turning

The bewitched eyes long to watch bewitching sights through the bewitching jharokas
The bewitched mind is on its way to dream
In this crazy world, I wish I had some bewitching company

With this scheming crowd around, I wish your hands were in mine
Wish there was a bewitching melody and a bewitching composition

My bewitched feet desire to dance to the bewitching tunes of bewitching songs
The bewitched mind is on its way to dream
I wish the darkness was bewitching and so was the silence

I wish quivering lips go easy, the intoxication is bewitching
One bewitched veil, slowly tells us of the break of dawn with a bewitched face
The bewitched mind is on its way to dream...

- Translated lyrics of the song "Baawara Mann" from one of my favourite movie "Hazaaron Khwaahishen Aisi"

The Beauty Of A Woman

The beauty of a woman Is not in the clothes she wears,
The figure that she carries, Or the way she combs her hair.

The beauty of a woman must be seen from in her eyes,
Because that is the doorway to her heart,
the place where love resides.

The beauty of a woman is not in a facial mole,
But true beauty in a woman Is reflected in her soul.

It is the caring that she lovingly gives,
The passion that she shows,
And the beauty of a woman
With passing years
only grows.
